Brook Valley Gardens and the wider Barnet area have excellent transport links to the rest of Greater London, and beyond. High Barnet London Underground Station is located approximately 0.5 miles (0.8km) from Brook Valley Gardens, providing a convenient rail service to Central London. A mainline railway station can be found at New Barnet, less than 1.2 miles (2km) from Brook Valley Gardens. Frequent bus services run locally, connecting with amenities and other transport hubs.
The King George V and Barnet playing fields are immediately south of Brook Valley Gardens, and give easy access to nearby green space. Walks include the Dollis Valley Greenwalk – a riverside walk which links Dollis Valley with Totteridge. A parallel cycle route also follows the Greenwalk, and connects with other cycle routes.
Walking north, it is possible to reach High Barnet Town Centre on foot in around 20 minutes. The town centre has an excellent selection of pubs, places to eat, and plenty of shops to browse around including the Spires Shopping Centre.
