A traffic-free cycle route runs alongside the Dollis Valley Greenwalk from

Barnet Lane, approximately 0.4 miles (o.6km) from Brook Valley Gardens.

This provides links along other traffic free and on-road cycle routes to locations such as Wembley Park Underground Station and Finsbury Park.

Do you want to incorporate cycling into your everyday travel routine but need to brush up on some of your skills? FREE adult and family cycle training is available to anyone who lives, works or studies in Barnet.


FREE Bikeability cycle safety training is also offered by London Borough of Barnet to every child in Years 5, 6 and in all secondary year groups that attends school in the Borough?

    The southern end of The Great North Way, a 32 mile (51.5km) cycle route that forms part of the National Cycle Network (Route 12), can be found at Hadley Wood Underground Station, approximately 2.6 miles (4.1km) from Brook Valley Gardens. This route goes through Hertfordshire to the border with Bedfordshire at Stotfold.
