The southern end of The Great North Way, a 32 mile (51.5km) cycle route that forms part of the National Cycle Network (Route 12), can be found at Hadley Wood Underground Station, approximately 2.6 miles (4.1km) from Brook Valley Gardens. This route goes through Hertfordshire to the border with Bedfordshire at Stotfold.
